hanging around
your ghost
long after you left
years turn to decades
i feel you
close to me
i 've become myself
because of you
i feel you
home in my heart
where you
always
live with me

I'm glad you're husband's memory fills you with strength and comfort. To me that is the ultimate stage of grief - not just acceptance, but finding the inner warmth of that person still living in your heart. (((Cat)))

I believe you are very right. I never thought of it that way.
Some may think it strange or perhaps morbid, that as the years have passed and continue to do so, I feel closer to Bill, because our time apart is getting less, and that comforts me, and makes me feel safe.
But I know if he was still alive, with me living, he would so love being here in this house, on this beautiful land, and magical place in Nova Scotia that is Apple River.
He loved Nova Scotia so much, though he grew up in tough and mean streets in the city Toronto.
And so, I can feel him with me and I know he watches over me always. Today was one of those days and I knew it even more so.
